Cecilia Lopez has spent years developing a practice where acoustic instruments and electronics resist easy hierarchy — neither quite accompanying the other. Filter Four is a new quartet built around that tension, with a lineup that brings considerable weight: Ingrid Laubrock on reeds, Trevor Dunn on bass, Dan Peck on tuba.
